      This course provides a practical introduction to real estate finance in the Canadian context. Designed to bridge theory and real-world practice, the course focuses on how real estate assets and development projects are evaluated, financed, and structured. Through case-based learning and hands-on financial modeling, participants gain exposure to valuation methods, cash flow analysis, investment metrics, and full project-cycle pro formas commonly used by real estate and finance professionals.

      By the end of this course, you will be able to:

      ●      Value income-producing real estate assets using Net Operating Income (NOI) and capitalization rates

      ●      Analyze levered and unlevered cash flows and assess risk–return trade-offs

      ●      Apply key investment metrics, including ROI, NPV, IRR, and Equity Multiple

      ●      Build a basic real estate pro forma from acquisition through exit

      ●      Understand common real estate financing structures in the Canadian market

      ●      Evaluate project feasibility and investor attractiveness using financial metrics
